Jones Coffee Roasters, Raymond

Jones is located on Raymond just before the ArtCenter, by Fillmore Station.
The quality of the coffee is good.
They have a farm in Guatemala and they roast their own beans.
You can ask for a mug or bring your own and they’ll charge you a little less; however,
if you ask for a mug in-house, they will charge you taxes.
Their prices are some of the most competitive in that field.
A small coffee can be really inexpensive, cheaper than Starbucks.
They offer two types of drip, a consistent dark roast, and a medium roast,
different every day or so, which is interesting.
As for the espresso, it can taste a little nuanced from one day to another.
We wouldn’t put it among the best espressos in town, but it’s pretty decent.
The parking lot doesn’t fit a large number of cars and the streets are not always very open.
They do have a small alley parking area in the back, but even those spaces are limited.
Overall, parking is a challenge and most people know that.
Still, you’re just across from Fillmore Station
and you can use the metro to get to this place very easily.
The room is large and has something special that tells a story,
with chairs hanging from the ceiling
to remember when they used to ask people to bring their own seat.
At the time, they were only roasters and had started
to offer degustations in their warehouse.
They offer live music very often, mostly jazz,
with a level of quality that can be exceptional.

Great way to start a day.
In addition to the live music,
they also have art exhibits with local artists on display.
It does not make it a reference like its neighbor,
the Norton Simon Museum… but it’s fun.
They are open every day at seven and they also have a wine and kombucha bar open between 12 PM and 8 PM during the week; on Sunday they close at 5 PM.
They also have an attached pizza café.
The people working in that place are nice, and the baristas are good enough.
So yes, everybody loves Jones, which is understandable.
Many people are passing by the place.
The mood is laid back.
The returning customer community is very diverse,
a public place as much a scene as it is a coffee house.
The pastry collection is fine and quite affordable as well.
They have both vegan and regular options.
The regular from Röckenwagner.
Enjoyable.
Overall, it’s an address not to miss if you are around Pasadena.
